ATTACKING PLAY TABLE Season
   
To encourage the scoring of more goals in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, the LFP, for the start of the 2006/07 season, introduced the Attacking Play Table. With the help of the former France manager Michel Hidalgo, the idea of the initative is to reward those teams who score the most goals.
Independent from the official league table, points are awarded as follows:
Defeat : 0 points
Draw : 1 point
Win by one goal : 2 points
Win by more than one goal : 3 points

Prize money is distributed to the teams at the end of the season depending on where they finish in the table.

Ratified by the Competition Organisation Commission of the LFP. If teams are equal please refer to article 307 of the LFP’s competition rules in order to separate them.

The sum of 20 million Euros, taken from the LFP’s new commercial ventures in 2006/2007 will be dedicated to this initiative. €16.7 million will go to Ligue 1 and €3.5 million will go to Ligue 2.
